Trauma therapy intensives
Focused therapeutic work over an extended session, or a series of longer sessions, rather than relying only on the traditional weekly format.
Trauma therapy intensives offer an opportunity to engage in focused therapeutic work over an extended session or a series of longer sessions, rather than relying only on the traditional weekly therapy format. This approach can be helpful when you want to address a specific experience, pattern, or area of distress with greater continuity and fewer interruptions between sessions.
Your intensive will be thoughtfully tailored to your goals, readiness, needs, and capacity. Depending on what feels most supportive, our work may integrate EMDR, the Flash Technique, parts-oriented therapies such as IFS-informed EMDR and the Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS), and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). We will also focus on strengthening emotional regulation, healthy coping, internal resources, and overall wellbeing so that trauma processing takes place within a foundation of safety and support.

An intensive may be a good fit when you
- Want focused time to work on a specific experience or concern
- Feel stuck or would like greater continuity than weekly sessions provide
- Are preparing for or adjusting to an important life transition
- Feel ready to engage in focused trauma processing
- Have an ongoing therapist and would like additional support to process a particular experience before returning to your regular therapy
Getting started
An initial consultation and assessment will help us determine whether an intensive is right for you and create a personalized treatment plan that reflects your goals, needs, readiness, and capacity. When appropriate and with your consent, I can also collaborate with your existing therapist to support continuity of care.
